La Mairena Villa/Chalet

A detached single family dwelling having a 690 m2 constructed area and 3035 m2 in a residential area. The property had 25 metres level difference , given that it was located in the upper area of the housing estate called “La Mairena” in Marbella, resulting in a fill volume via earth filling using selected soil and previous testing thereof , for a later compacting and implementation of total foundation by means of 16 ml piles and floating slab thereon.
Said dwelling is characterised by the type of structure and clean and sharp volume generated by a two level rectangular prism, with a building perimeter envelope by means of a composite that endows importance to the entire construction.
From a finishing and quality point of view, the client chose high quality materials for each finishing unit, such as micro cements in walls and floors in a generalised manner and Ipe solid wood flooring in the exterior. The entire dwelling is equipped with air conditioning systems, radiant flooring and complies with the regulations for an optimisation from an energy savings perspective, through efficient and home automation systems in each of the rooms.
The designers of said project are Jesús Estepa Rubio, Daniel Sánchez Mesa and José Alberto Orero Vigaray said team belonging to the Estudio ER (architects studio).
