21 Feb Single Family Dwelling – Residential Area
Detached single family dwelling on a 1000 m2 plot of land in a residential area.
The building is underpinned by a structure of reinforced concrete frames, with bidirectional slabs and solid slabs for force transmission in the horizontal resistance elements, whilst square geometry reinforced concrete pillars will be used as supports for vertical force transmission.
The dwelling is a 3 storey building distributed on the basement floor which houses a 4 vehicle parking space, ground floor, with kitchen, living room, office, distributor and a first floor for bedrooms and reading area. On the ground floor, from the living and dining rooms, large windows provide access to the main courtyard with a rectangular swimming pool. In the secondary courtyard to a second level is the paddle tennis court.
A particular fact of this dwelling, are the minimalist style aluminium joinery. The large sliding windows which overlook the courtyard have hidden frames and when opened are completely hidden behind the partition wall, so that the living room and dining room blend with the exterior. On the main façade, we find a sloping curtain wall, which provides light to the connection area between the different floors.
The façade is finished with white plaster rendering and certain walls in natural stone. The metallic fencing is made from aluminium with different colours and shapes in its finishes.
